Ohio Trim & Door · Installation Services
SUPPLY IS ONLY HALF THE JOB.
Ohio Trim & Door doesn't just deliver the materials — we install them. Our experienced crews handle doors, frames, hardware, trim, millwork, and Division 10 specialties, keeping your project on schedule from first delivery through final punch.
Our Install Scope
ONE CONTRACTOR. FULL SCOPE.
Most suppliers stop at the loading dock. OTD goes further. We self-perform installation across the same Division 6, 8, and 10 scopes we supply, which means fewer subcontractors for your GC to manage, tighter coordination between material and labor, and a single point of accountability when something needs to be resolved in the field.
Our crews are experienced in commercial multifamily, senior living, mixed-use, and hospitality construction — the fast-paced, high-unit-count environments where installation efficiency and consistency directly affect your schedule and budget.
WHAT WE SELF-PERFORM
From rough-frame to punch-list, our crews are equipped to handle the full finish scope across all project types and sizes.
Division 08 — Setting hollow metal frames in CMU, metal stud, and drywall construction. Hanging wood, HM, and fiberglass doors to proper tolerances with hardware pre-installed and tested.
Division 08 — Complete hardware set installation — locksets, closers, exit devices, hinges, kick plates, door bottoms, and electrified hardware — per the approved hardware schedule.
Division 06 — Installation of baseboards, door casings, crown molding, chair rails, and custom profiles. High-unit-count multifamily and production work is a core competency.
Division 10 — Floor-mounted, ceiling-hung, and overhead-braced partition systems. Crews coordinate with plumbing and tile trades to ensure clean, accurate layouts and proper ADA clearances.
Division 10 — Installation of complete restroom accessory packages — grab bars, soap dispensers, towel bars, hand dryers, waste receptacles, and mirrors — per finish schedule and ADA requirements.
Division 10 — Wire and laminate shelving installation for closets, pantries, and utility spaces across multifamily and residential projects. Fast, consistent installation at scale.
Division 06 — Installation of base and upper cabinets for kitchens, baths, and utility spaces across multifamily, hospitality, and commercial projects. Plumb, level, and scribed to field conditions with hardware adjusted and tested.
Division 06 — Setting laminate, solid surface, quartz, and stone countertops in kitchens, baths, and common areas. Field-templated and scribed for accurate fit, with sink cutouts and edge treatments coordinated with the GC’s finish schedule.
How We Work
OUR INSTALLATION PROCESS
A straightforward process built for the pace of commercial construction — from pre-construction coordination through final punch.
01 — Pre-Construction Review
We review plans, specs, and schedules with the GC before mobilization — confirming scope, sequencing, and any rough-in or blocking requirements with other trades.
02 — Material Coordination
Because we're the supplier, our install crews always know what's on-site, what's in transit, and what's pending — eliminating the miscommunication that slows down third-party installers.
03 — Phased Mobilization
We mobilize in phases aligned to your lookahead schedule — rough frames first, then door hang, hardware, and trim — so our work fits cleanly into the overall project flow.
04 — Quality & Punch
Our crews self-inspect before turning over work. We maintain a running punch list and resolve items quickly — often before the GC's formal punch walk.
WHY OTD
One contract covers supply and labor across Div. 6, 8, and 10 — with the accountability and schedule alignment that only the supplier-installer can offer.
No finger-pointing between supplier and installer. When OTD supplies and installs, accountability is unified and problems get resolved faster.
Our crews are built for high-unit-count multifamily and commercial work — the environments where installation speed and consistency directly affect your schedule.
Fewer primes to manage, fewer coordination meetings, fewer change orders. One contract covers supply and labor across Div. 6, 8, and 10.
We work from the same delivery schedule we set as the supplier — which means our install crews never show up before materials are ready or wait on deliveries they didn't track.
We meet Buy America Build America Act requirements for federally funded and publicly bid projects, both on the supply and installation sides.
Based in Columbus with the capacity to mobilize installation crews across Ohio and into neighboring states for the right project opportunities.
WHAT YOU CAN COUNT ON
The OTD Commitment.
We represent your interests on the job site the same way we do at the supply counter — transparently, and with your schedule in mind.
Doors hung plumb. Hardware torqued to spec. Trim cut clean. We hold our installation crews to the same standards we hold our material submittals.
We show up when we say we will. Our install schedule is built around your lookahead, and we communicate proactively when anything changes.
We're a Columbus company. The contractors, developers, and buildings we work on are part of the community we live and work in.
